For my portfolio site, I developed and customized a WordPress website using a child theme built on the Kadence framework. I implemented a dynamic project carousel from scratch, combining PHP shortcodes, Swiper.js, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to showcase my work in a visually engaging and fully responsive format. My work included creating and organizing custom CSS and JavaScript assets, managing theme files through both the WordPress Theme File Editor and FTP, and integrating user-friendly layouts with Elementor.
Throughout the project, I troubleshot and resolved a wide range of real-world issues, from shortcode registration and PHP errors to file/folder structure and asset management. I leveraged WordPress debugging tools, collaborated with different hosting providers (DreamHost, Bluehost), and adhered to modern web development best practices. This hands-on experience deepened my skills in WordPress theme customization, front-end web development, and the deployment of scalable, interactive websites.
